This large-scale neighbourhood development is an example of future-oriented urbanism on a human scale. The project is a perfect fit for the existing fabric of infrastructure and construction. 

Together with Revive, we are developing a new urban neighbourhood on the old Tupperware site in the centre of Aalst, along the Dender river, where there will be family homes, apartments, assisted-living residences, supplemented by gardens, stores, community facilities and a brasserie.

After years of decline, Matexi NV reintegrated this historically important site in the inner city of Aalst that was once home to a convent and the municipal orphanage, into the urban fabric. Testament to this is the Holy Ghost Chapel that was restored and found a new function within the context of the project. 

The Popperodehof is a high-quality development in an inner area in Aalst. The project is structured around a well-designed urban development concept with two convivial small squares. 

In the heart of the Meuse valley, more specifically in Seilles, Matexi realised the ‘Clos des Ours’ project. This project comprises three relatively small apartment buildings in a closed private domain. Particular attention was paid to the harmonious integration of the buildings into their surroundings. 

The redevelopment of a former urban eyesore, the Antwerp Tower office building, is producing a 240-apartment residential tower with great metropolitan flair.

On the earlier site of the Military Hospital in the middle of the city we are creating a car-free historical park of more than 7 hectares. The activities of living, working, shopping, relaxing and meeting others are all brought together there.

The new neighborhood Still is located on the border with the capital in the southeast of Asse. The former factory grounds of Stillemans are being transformed into a unique place for rest and experience, with space for living, recreation, neighborhood support functions, and abundant nature, all in an exceptional prime location.

The Meerheim project in Bilzen offers a wide variety of housing types and makes optimum use of the available public space. Meerheim is just a stone’s throw from the railway station and close to the slip road.

The child-friendly neighbourhood Zuiderdal is situated near the centre of the cosy village of Boechout, with scintillating Antwerp just a stone’s throw away. The train station, bus and tram stops are within cycling distance. 

At the former Molens Rypens site on the banks of the river Rupel, Matexi realised a striking ensemble of three residential buildings. The developer, architects and landscaping architects took inspiration from the industrial history of the location, the architectural heritage and, above all, the unparalleled view. 

Along the Bruges-Ostend canal, on the grounds of the former mill De Nieuwe Molens, Matexi developed a striking residential neighbourhood around a semi-public courtyard garden. 

La Mondiale is a unique renovation and restoration project in the heart of Brussels. La Mondiale was the name of the erstwhile insurance company that commissioned the property on the corner of rue de l’Ecuyer and rue Léopold.

The coal mine of Hasard was the largest of four mineshafts owned by the Société anonyme des Charbonnages du Hasard and is situated in the centre of the village of Cheratte-Bas. Exploitation started in 1850 and the mine was closed in 1977.

The Moerkensheide project is part of a larger development area in the municipality of De Pinte and restructures an area of 50 ha.

A few kilometres from the centre of Antwerp we are developing a new neighbourhood with a total of 580 residential units. With over 3,000 m² of greenery, a pond, cycling and walking paths, people can live here in a calm park zone.

The project combines spacious and high-quality living with high density and fits in seamlessly with the existing urban fabric along Knokkestraat. The railway station of Duinbergen and everyday amenities are just around the corner. 

In the neighbourhood of Place Du Châtelain and avenue Louise in the heart of the district of Kastelein in the municipality of Ixelles, Matexi developed the Amazone Gardens project. The project is situated within walking distance of numerous shops, restaurants and art galleries and is easily accessible.

In a partnership with BPI, Matexi realised a building project at the former site of the Red Cross hospital on place Georges Brugmann in Ixelles consisting of 86 apartments distributed across 7 buildings. 

The Fusio building sits in a unique location near Cinquantenaire, between avenue de Tervueren and Montgomery roundabout. It is easily accessible from the motorways, Brussels’ inner ring road and by train, metro or bus. 

Matexi invests in sustainable urban development and aims to add additional living space to the Evere neighbourhood. As with the successful neighboring project Leopold Views, Everside is an office building that has been converted into a residential project. 

Leopold Views has been designed to encourage a concept of living together. The highest quality materials have been selected, and will be integrated into a calm, pleasant and thoroughly contemporary architectural style.

In the neighborhood of Sint-Dimpna, within cycling distance of Geel, Matexi developed a brand-new residential place: Laar. Here sustainability, green space and social interaction go hand in hand. This project is a guarantee of central but also quiet living. 

Through the development of the eco-neighborhood Belle Vallée in Jodoigne, Matexi is committed to a sustainable future. 

The ambitious project I-Dyle, an ecological neighborhood development, consists of 235 homes, green spaces, a daycare center, and local shops. The project focuses on sustainability and utilizes renewable techniques and materials, making it ideal for young families seeking affordable and eco-friendly housing.

In Genk Matexi redeveloped the erstwhile residential care facility Herfstvreugde into a residential project that upgrades the neighbourhood. The reconversion is obviously also tackled in a sustainable way. 

The biggest asset of the new residential neighbourhood Genk - Veldstraat is undoubtedly its location: smack in the middle of a magnificent park at a mere stone’s throw from Genk’s vibrant city centre. There the residents have a choice of schools, shops, leisure activities and greenery. 

The Leopold barracks is transformed from a historic military site into a vibrant urban neighbourhood where
history, sustainability and dynamic character go hand in hand.

On the stately Kouter Square, right in the historical centre of Ghent, we are creating luxury apartments, penthouses, urban villas, offices and a stylish new pedestrian shopping street with boutiques of top brands.

Matexi grouped together many fragmented plots of land to form a 10-hectare infill development. The design was inspired by the typical characteristics of quaint Flemish villages. 

A former industrial site along the Brussels-Rupel canal is the location for the new residential neighbourhood Nederhem. The neighbourhood consists of some 400 residential units, both houses and apartments, on a campus with a variety of social services. 

'Alba' is a luxury apartment and office project located strategically along the Boerenkrijgsingel in Hasselt.

Erected in 1899, this former post office building is situated at 200 metres from Hasselt’s Grote Markt. The reconversion by Matexi in 1999 left the original eclectic facade fully intact. 

Together with Chateaux Real Estate, we are transforming the former industrial site along the Canal Basin into a ´waterfront´ with apartments, homes, boutiques, restaurants, a promenade, a marina and 2,400 underground parking spaces.

This 7 ha project is a natural infill development within an existing road network. The use of different architectural styles creates both variation and balance. 

The residential project De Windroos is like an island in the green neighbourhood of Jette near avenue Ernest Masoin, place Arthur Van Gehuchten, avenue Guillaume De Greef and rue Gustave Gilson.

Two project developers realised a joint residential project at this location: an attractive and high-quality solution for a complex infill area situated in the heart of Kontich.

Since the disappearance of railroad activity in the Central Workshops, this part of Kessel-Lo was a blind spot without function or meaning. The redevelopment of this site aims to turn the former workshops into a new centre for Kessel-Lo.

In order to create a feeling of space, we divided housing units into different volumes: "Het Kopgebouw" and four villas in a park in the city of Lier.

The Molenveld project in Lint is a beautiful infill development with plenty of green accents. 

This project fits in perfectly with the existing structure: cars are left in the main street and bicycle and pedestrian connections lead to the surrounding streets.

Opposite the train station in Liège, we realised a new eco-neighbourhood of no less than 3.5 ha and a total of 7 buildings.

In 2018 Matexi and Befimmo pooled their resources for the realisation of the new eco-neighbourhood Paradis Express in Liège. The integrated neighbourhood project benefits from a top location near Liège-Guillemins station, the Paradis tower and a new tramline. 

Back in the day ATM Maaseik specialised in hydraulic vehicles and metal constructions until the company threw in the towel in 2010.

Between 1999 and 2004, Matexi developed the new district "Lamot" on the former site of the bottling plant and brewery Lamot on the Dijle.

Where once stood an old wallpaper factory, today stand two residences within a fenced area with plenty of greenery.

On Wapenplein in Ostend, Matexi and ING Real Estate redeveloped the Feest- en Cultuurpaleis into a commercial centre, right next to Kapellestraat. The architecturally valuable spaces have been preserved as much as possible. 

Ideally situated on the Belgian coast and at the crossroads of large traffic arteries, Ostend is also the ideal staging point to travel abroad. In the heart of this city, within shouting distance of the casino, Matexi realised the Nieuw Helmond residence in a partnership with ING Real Estate. 

Matexi aims to transform the grounds of Bétons Lemaire, situated behind Le Douaire in the centre of Ottignies, into a zone that connects Le Douaire with the provincial park. 

Les Terrasses de Val Duchesse sits in a unique location in the southeastern part of Brussels near the Parc de Woluwe in Auderghem and the European institutions.

This project fits in organically with the existing fabric. Three small-scale, low-traffic residential areas give out onto the expansive polder landscape. 

Matexi is developing the new city neighbourhood of Het Laere with flats, town houses and commercial units near Noordhofpark in Roeselare. Het Laere is a vibrant new neighbourhood that makes living in the centre of Roeselare very special. 

At the unique location of the former shipyard CNR the new residential project De Oude Scheepswerf is taking shape. In the bend where the rivers Rupel and Scheldt meet, a versatile living and work environment is being realised with the polder landscape as the perfect backdrop. 

Parallel to the platforms of the IC station in Sint-Niklaas, Matexi developed a retail centre for traditional main road stores. 

New contemporary residential towers, together with the existing characteristic buildings of the Anco factory, form an impressive beacon in the city: the 'Anco Torens'.

A family-friendly, sustainable, limited-traffic and urban neighbourhood for 1,200 families is coming to the former industrial grounds between the Sea Canal and the Zenne river. We are creating green zones and squares, space for cafés and restaurants, offices, workplaces and social initiatives.

This new residential project offers a variety of apartments and houses situated in the quiet and green Clementwijk on the outskirts of Sint-Niklaas. All apartments afford a wonderful view of the park and provide an oasis of quiet in a low-traffic environment.

This Matexi project concerns the development of a new neighbourhood on a former industrial estate. The neighbourhood offers contemporary apartments and one-family homes with a stylish and elegant design, surrounded by greenery and with a central square.

This infill project is located within the ring road of Waregem, within walking and cycling distance of all daily amenities. 

The Staffa 9 residence in Warsaw is a highlight in every sense of the word. The homely apartments are in an excellent location - far from noisy surface streets but with public transport nearby (metro, tram, bus) and direct access to spacious green zones.
